Holy Spirit Conference, Kennewick

Society of St. Vincent de Paul

About Our Conference

  • Formation.  Installation of the founding members of the Holy Spirit Conference was at the 9:30 AM Mass on Sunday, August 23rd, 2009.  The Conference has the authority to orient and install new members for the Society.
  • Bylaws.  Our bylaws were adopted on July 22, 2009.
  • Officers.  The Conference elects a President.  The President appoints one or more Vice Presidents, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and a Spritual Leader.
  • Service Provided.  The Conference sends its members to visit the poor in their environment to make accurate assessments of need.  Each visitation team has the authority and capability to assist with urgent needs and help clients plan for the future.
  • Funding.  The Conference is funded by donations.  Thank you to all who support our cause!  We have very few administrative costs so almost all of our funds go directly to the poor and needy in our community.
  • Tax Status.  The Conference is recognized by the State of Washington as a non-profit corporation organized exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code.
  • Procedures We have adopted standard operating procedures.  These procedures are available to Conference members and others by request.  These procedures are designed to respect our client's privacy.
  • Meetings.  Meetings are generally held twice a month on a Wednesday or a Thursday depending on the availabilty of members.  Check the Parish calendar for tentative dates in the future. Click here for the standard meeting agenda.
  • Membership.  Please join us in our efforts to serve the poor and needy.  We need additional members to help with comittees and, most importantly, home visits.  Membership requires a period of discernment and orientation.  Copies of the Rule and Manual are available for checkout.  Please review one or both of these books to get more details about the purpose, objectives, and administration of the Society.  Training is provided!
